Project 12: GREEN | Greensboro Baby Toddler Lifestyle Photographer

This month’s theme for Project 12 was GREEN. Although the obvious choice would be something St. Patrick’s Day related, I already captured plenty of St. Patty’s Day green earlier this month. So I tried to think outside of my St. Patty’s Day box and consider other inspiration for the theme of green. As a lifestyle photographer, my mind first went to those everyday items in my life that happen to be the color green, and right away, I realized there was one (or rather, two) green items I had to capture for this month’s challenge. That would be a pair of small, green, froggy wellies that make me smile in spite of myself every time I see them.

I’ve been thinking lately that it would probably be any day now before L outgrew these silly things and although I rolled my eyes when my mom bought them for her, I sure will miss her trotting around the house in them, insisting on NOT removing them under any circumstances, usually at the most inopportune times… in typical toddler fashion. : ) This evening was no exception. We were trying to get dinner ready and L was playing in the pantry (that’s totally safe , right?!) when she comes strutting out sans pants and sporting the boots. Thank goodness this project was top of mind or I might have missed a great opportunity to capture these last precious moments with one of my favorite green possessions ever. : )

Photo tip: Have a favorite article of clothing or accessory that your little one is about to outgrow? Be sure to capture some photos of them sporting said item before it’s too late and they can’t fit in it anymore!
